1. Preparation and Planning

Next, measure and mark the center point of the bathroom. This will serve as the starting point for your tile layout. Use a level to ensure the floor and walls are level, as any minor inconsistencies can affect the tile alignment.

Plan the tile layout on paper or use a tile layout calculator. Consider the size and shape of the tiles, as well as the location of fixtures and any accent tiles you may be using.

2. Choose the Right Tiles and Adhesives

4. Grouting and Sealing

Once the tiles are laid, allow the adhesive to cure for 24 hours or as per the manufacturer's instructions. Then, mix the grout according to the instructions and apply it to the spaces between the tiles using a grout float or trowel. Work the grout into the gaps, ensuring it fills them completely.

After grouting, allow it to dry and cure for 24-48 hours. Clean the excess grout from the tiles using a damp sponge or cloth.

Apply a penetrating sealer to the tiles and grout to protect them from moisture and stains. Allow the sealer to dry completely before using the bathroom.

5. Finishing Touches

Reinstall all fixtures and hardware to complete the bathroom. Use caulk or silicone sealant around the edges of the tiles where they meet the fixtures, walls, or floors to prevent water penetration.
