Grohe Bathroom Faucet Cartridge Replacement
A leaking bathroom faucet is a common plumbing issue that can waste water and increase your utility bills. Tools and Materials

- Adjustable wrench

Step-by-Step Instructions
- Turn off the water supply. There should be two shut-off valves located under the sink. Turn both valves clockwise to turn off the water supply.
- Open the faucet. This will release any remaining water pressure in the faucet.
- Remove the aerator. The aerator is the small, round piece attached to the end of the faucet spout. Use a wrench to unscrew the aerator and set it aside.
- Remove the handle. There may be a small screw holding the handle in place. If so, remove the screw using a screwdriver. Then, pull the handle straight up to remove it.
- Remove the cartridge cap. The cartridge cap is located at the base of the faucet handle. Use a hex key to loosen the cartridge cap and then remove it by hand.
- Remove the old cartridge. Grip the old cartridge and pull it straight up to remove it.
- Install the new cartridge. align the new cartridge with the faucet body and push it straight down into place.
- Replace the cartridge cap. Screw the cartridge cap back into place using a hex key.
- Replace the handle. Push the handle straight down onto the faucet body. If there was a screw holding the handle in place, reinsert the screw.
- Replace the aerator. Screw the aerator back onto the end of the faucet spout.
- Turn on the water supply. Open the two shut-off valves under the sink to turn on the water supply.
- Check for leaks. Check the faucet for any leaks. If there are any leaks, tighten the cartridge cap or handle as needed.
