Frame a Bathroom Mirror DIY

Adding a framed mirror to your bathroom is a great way to upgrade the look of your space without breaking the bank. It's a relatively simple project that even beginners can tackle, and it can make a big impact on the overall aesthetic of your bathroom.

There are a few different ways to frame a bathroom mirror, but the most common and easiest method is to use a picture frame. You can find picture frames in a variety of styles and sizes at most home improvement stores or online retailers. Once you've chosen a frame, you'll need to measure and cut it to fit your mirror.

To measure the frame, simply measure the width and height of your mirror. Then, add 2 inches to both the width and height to allow for the overlap of the frame. For example, if your mirror is 24 inches wide by 36 inches high, you would need to cut the frame to 26 inches wide by 38 inches high.

Once you've cut the frame to size, you'll need to attach it to the mirror. You can do this using wood glue, nails, or screws. If you're using wood glue, apply a generous amount to the back of the frame and then press it firmly onto the mirror. If you're using nails or screws, be sure to predrill holes in the frame to avoid splitting the wood.

Once the frame is attached to the mirror, you can hang it on the wall. You can use picture hanging wire, D-rings, or a mirror mounting kit. If you're using picture hanging wire, simply loop it through the D-rings on the back of the frame and then hang it on a nail or hook on the wall.

If you're using D-rings, screw them into the back of the frame and then hang the mirror on two nails or hooks that are spaced apart slightly wider than the distance between the D-rings. If you're using a mirror mounting kit, follow the manufacturer's instructions for installation.

Once your framed mirror is hung on the wall, you're all finished! You can now enjoy the updated look of your bathroom.
